What exactly is Charities Capability Fund?
The Singapore Charities Capability Fund (CCF), administered by the National Council of Social Service (NCSS), provides co-funding to enhance the governance, productivity, and operational efficiency of eligible charities and Institutions of a Public Character (IPCs)
What is the requirement to be Eligible for the Grant?
To be eligible for the CCF, an organization must be either an exempt charity, a registered charity, or an IPC in Singapore. Additionally, the following conditions apply:
The organization must have its latest Annual Report, audited Financial Statements, and Governance Evaluation Checklist submitted on the Charity Portal.
The project or course must not have commenced before the CCF application is submitted and approved.
The applicant must not have received other government funding for the same purpose unless otherwise allowed.
What to be expected when claiming the Grant
What you can claim under the Charities Capability Fund (CCF) depends on which of the five specific grants you apply for. The claims cover eligible expenses related to improving a charity's governance, productivity, and operational efficiency. Info-Communications Technology (ICT) Grant
This grant co-funds ICT solutions to digitize operations and improve efficiency. Claimable items fall into two categories:
Basic infrastructure (for small and medium-sized charities)
Hardware: Up to 4 computers and 2 printers.
Connectivity: 1 broadband account.
Security: Firewall devices.
Other tools: Video and audio-conferencing tools and website development costs.
Digital solutions (for all charities)
Software and systems: Pre-scoped and "green lane" digital solutions listed on the GoBusiness Singapore website for various functions.
When exactly can you claim your grant?
Claims for the ICT Grant depend on the type of solution.
For digital solutions: 80% is disbursed upfront upon acceptance of the Letter of Offer. The remaining 20% is paid upon project completion.
For basic infrastructure: 100% of the approved amount is reimbursed after the hardware and services are implemented
